Important Note

After you subscribe, you will be sent a confirmation email that you will have to respond to. In that email, you will have to click on a link that confirms your subscription. If you don't do this, you will not be subscribed.

Be sure to watch for your confirmation email. It may accidentally be sent to your Junk/Spam folder -- so be on the lookout for it!

You can easily unsubscribe to these at any time. At the bottom of each email, there will always be a link that you can click to safely unsubscribe . . . but we hope that you won't ever want to. :)

Email Troubleshooter

When I click on the "Subscribe" button, nothing happens.

Do you have "pop-up" windows blocked in your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)? Clicking "Subscribe" may generate a pop-up box that asks for your email address. If your browser is blocking pop-ups, nothing may happen when you click "Subscribe."

I can't read those funny letters that I am asked to type into the form.

In computer lingo, these are CAPTCHA letters (letters that you have to type in to verify that you are an actual human being, and not a computer robot, filling in the form). Sometimes they can be hard to read, even for a live human being! If you can't make them out, just click the "Refresh" or "Reload" button in your browser, and you will be given a new set of letters. Do this until you get some letters that you can make out.

I tried to subscribe, but no emails are arriving.

Did you correctly type in your email address?
Did you type in the CAPTCHA letters? (See just above.)
Did you click "Complete Subscription Request"?
Did your confirmation email arrive? (Might it have gone into your Junk/Spam folder?)
Did you click on the confirmation link in that email?

If you did these things and are still not getting anything, let me know and I'll see what I can do. Write me at garyhenry@wordpoints.com -- and be sure to give me your correct email address and which of the emails you want to receive.

In rare cases, your ISP (Internet Service Provider) may not be letting email from us get through to you. If that is what is happening, you will not be able to receive the confirmation email from us and therefore not be able to complete your subscription. You will need to contact your ISP to see why they are blocking email from us.

Will you add me to your mailing list so I don't have to do it myself?

Yes, if you insist. Just write me at garyhenry@wordpoints.com -- and be sure to give me your correct email address and which of the emails you want to receive.

Note: If I subscribe for you, you will still have to respond to the confirmation email that will come to your email address. Watch for that email. When it comes, you will have to click on the link that confirms that you want to receive emails from us. (If your email doesn't arrive shortly, be sure to check in your Junk/Spam folder.)

My emails have been arriving up to now, but one of them did not come today.

Sometimes the service that we use (FeedBurner) fails to pick up a particular day's reading and send it to you. Don't worry. If today's reading doesn't arrive, you will probably get it tomorrow along with tomorrow's reading. We hate it when that happens, but there is nothing we can do about it. You will get all of the readings -- eventually. If you can't wait, you can always go to the blog and read any of the postings that have been made.

My emails have stopped arriving completely.

Your email may be "bouncing" when we try to send it to you: in other words, we are sending it but it is being returned to us as undeliverable. This can happen for many different reasons. If your email bounces five times in a row, the system automatically deletes you from our mailing list.

Just try resubscribing. If that doesn't help, then your ISP (Internet Service Provider) is probably blocking email from us, and you will need to check into why they are doing that.

How do I change my email address?

Just unsubscribe -- and then resubscribe using your new email address.

How can I unsubscribe?

Just go the the bottom of any of the emails that you have received from us. Click on "UNSUBSCRIBE NOW" and you will be removed from our list for that particular blog.

Note: If you want to be completely removed from our system, you will need to unsubscribe from each of the emails that you are receiving from us. We send out several different ones (see the top of this page), so if you get more than blog, you will need to unsubscribe from each of them if you want to be completely removed from our system.

Of course, you can always resubscribe later if you wish. :)
